While recognizing fully the impact of technology on the tools for learning, we also realize there is nothing quite as satisfying as digging into a good book to discover what treasures it might yield. The new King's library opens this September, and we are excited to welcome students to this beautiful space, one dedicated to the enjoyment of reading, studying and researching. A librarian will be available to assist students with finding appropriate resources.
A lot of research will still be done online, so it’s important that every student have a library card with the Oakville Public Library system (see link in sidebar), as their extensive databases are available to King’s students (free of charge, even for non-Oakville residents). Please find some time to get a membership if you don’t already have one, and if you do, remember to bring your card to school.
Even though the library features comfortable chairs and café style furnishings, there are no food or beverages allowed in library. Sorry, all you coffee lovers. We know you join us in wanting our beautiful new carpets and furniture to last.
If you have any questions, please contact our librarian, MaryAnne Terry, at mterry@kingschristian.net or call her at (905) 257-5464 ext. 522. We are enjoying having the library filled with students and seeing them delve into a world of literature and learning.
If you would like to donate books or library materials, please consult the Library Donation Policy first.
